Alex has 25 years of experience in financial services, with a significant expertise in the closing of structured finance transactions on movable assets and industrial projects, over several economic cycles. His international career led him to work in Europe for 6 years, in the United States for 14 years and in Asia for 5 years.
A senior industry figure in the aircraft financing sector, Alex has originated and structured a wide range of finance lease and debt arrangements for airlines and operating lessors, as well as shipping liners, railcar and container box lessors, offshore oil services providers, with more than 120 transactions completed in 20 years. He also contributed to foster the international development of a large banking services company, constantly broadening the customer base of Corporate and Institutional clients globally.
Before creating Numera, Alex led during 5 years as Chief Executive the activities of CIC in Asia Pacific, with the development of two new bases of operations in Hong-Kong and Sydney, enabling to double its total balance sheet and reaping a total turnover in excess of 100M$. He led the restructuring of one business line (Wealth Management), thereafter conducted the sale process of the entire platform (150 pax) to a new owner.
Prior to Asia, Alex was Global Head of Aviation with CIC and he established the business in aviation and asset financing for CIC in the US and Latin America from 2001 to 2014, creating an activity lasting to date, with recurring profits of 25M$ annually, hiring and grooming multicultural teams.
Alex started his career as a structured finance specialist in France, involved mainly in leveraging with non-recourse debt and restructuring of large projects.
Alex is originally from Lyon and Mâcon, and a promoter of this great Food & Wine region.
He earned a Master’s degree in Corporate Finance from Edhec Lille Business School and an MSc in Management of Technology and Innovation from University Paris Dauphine-ISNTN.
Alex is now an independent financial advisor for corporate clients and investors, with an international expertise and experience.
